The episode I watched was in Season 3. In the episode there was a new girl who joined the competition dance team her name was Nicaya. Of course, she came along with her mom whose name was Caya. Caya wasnââ¬â¢t at all like the rest of the moms. She didnââ¬â¢t dress anywhere near as proper as the rest of the moms. Shockingly, she was also a lesbian, which really surprised the rest of the moms. Caya felt like her daughter brought ââ¬Å"Divatudeâ⬠to the dance team, but I doubt the other parents felt the need for anything close to that. In the beginning, Nicaya didnââ¬â¢t know any dance terminology, well at least how to spell them. Abby Miller, the owner of the studio, challenged Nicaya to learn them in the beginning of the episode, because she was impressed with her dancing ability she still wanted her to stick around. The main drama in the episode was whether Nicaya would take Paigeââ¬â¢s spot in the group performance. Paige had been in a boot for her foot for 4 weeks and had just got cleared by her doctor to compete again. The hard decision between the two girls created conflict between their moms. Kelly, Paigeââ¬â¢s mom, seemed to overreact when Abby decided to practice them both interchanging them in the routine to see who performed the best. Kelly stormed out of the studio and had several outburst of anger throughout the show. Caya didnââ¬â¢t handle herself any better she constantly used foul language directed at the other moms. In the end, Abby decided to let all of them perform which lead to a first place performance. My impression of the moms was that they had to all been crazy. The fact that most of them quit their jobs to have their kids dance is ridiculous. Iââ¬â¢m pretty sure they donââ¬â¢t have to go to every practice and sit in the upstairs of the studio. I thought that was very weird and obsessive. Individually, I think Holly, Niaââ¬â¢s mom, has her head on the straightest of all the moms. She didnââ¬â¢t really speak too much, but she wasnââ¬â¢t too quiet. Kelly was definitely the most immature of all the moms with the way she couldnââ¬â¢t control her anger. The rest of the moms were just equally as crazy as the rest of the cast. Those I mentioned just stuck out the most. I was probably the most impressed with Abby Miller, because she tries her best to get the most she can from her dancers. I like how she made sure to tell each dancer how important it was that they got the job done. She reminded of a really tough football coach and in my opinion those are the best coaches, because they motivate you to perform at your highest level. If I had a daughter who had dreams of being a dancer, I would love for Abby Miller to be her coach. I know she would turn my daughter into a great dancer. She teaches discipline and skill. It would also keep my daughter active which would lead to a healthier life.

Emily Bradstreet's Poem "The Author to Her Book" The Author to Her Book, by Emily Bradstreet is a poem in which Bradstreet is laments about the publishing of her writings without her permission. The purpose of the piece is for Bradstreet to express the love, pride and remorse she feels toward her new book and is displayed elegantly through the metaphor of a mother and child. Lines eleven and twelve contribute to the poemââ¬â¢s purpose; they show that Bradstreet is unsatisfied with her work, and desires to fix it. Unfortunately, the book has already been published, and it is too late for her ââ¬Å"childâ⬠to attain perfection in its motherââ¬â¢s eyes. The first part of line eleven illustrates the pride Bradstreet takes in her work. ââ¬Å"Yet being mine ownâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ is Bradstreetââ¬â¢s way of taking ownership of her work, regardless of how misshapen it may seem. Through this line, Bradstreet is saying that because the book is hers, she is the only one with the right and ability to fix it. This is much like when a child gets hurt; only a motherââ¬â¢s kiss can make a ââ¬Å"boo-booâ⬠feel better. There may even be a hint of Bradstreetââ¬â¢s book being like the child whose face only a mother can love. While Bradstreet takes ownership of her book at the beginning of line eleven, by the end of that line, and the beginning of twelve, she is criticizing her work, saying that ââ¬Å"at length affection would thy blemishes amend...â⬠Through this, Bradstreet makes a connection to the beginning of the line, as only her love, care and attention can make the piece beautiful. If she gives enough attention to her ââ¬Å"childâ⬠and corrects it enough, perhaps the book would not be such a shame to her. Perhaps it wouldnââ¬â¢t be so ugly. By the end of the twelfth line, Bradstreet has taken pride in her work, and has also criticized it. The last bit of line twelve is where the author shows her remorse. ââ¬Å"If so I couldâ⬠is the authorââ¬â¢s way of lamenting her inability to rearrange the parts of her ill-formed offspring. Bradstreet is saying that her ââ¬Å"childâ⬠has already been branded, and there is nothing more she can do to make it perfect.

Loweââ¬â¢s: a Structural Analysis Essay
Loweââ¬â¢s was originally started in 1921 by Lucius S. Lowe in the town of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina and was called Loweââ¬â¢s North Wilkesboro Hardware Store. The first version of Loweââ¬â¢s had a different product mix that also included notions, dry goods, horse tack, snuff, produce, and groceries. This was when it was run by Lucius S. Lowe. The business was inherited by his daughter, Ruth, when Lucius died in 1940. She in turn sold the company to her brother James Lowe. In that same year that Jim bought the store him and Ruthââ¬â¢s husband Carl Buchan served in World War II, during the war Ruth and her mother ran the store. After Carl was injured and honorably discharged in 1943 Jim took him on as a partner. Loweââ¬â¢s was founded in 1946; Loweââ¬â¢s has grown from a small hardware store to the second-largest home improvement retailer worldwide. This is when Carl Buchan took management over and the store started to focus primarily on hardware and building materials. Carl Buchan later bought-out his brother-in-law and partner, James Lowe, and foreseeing the post-World War II building boom. By eliminating wholesalers and dealing directly with manufacturers, Loweââ¬â¢s established a lasting reputation for low prices. Sales began to grow over time and additional Loweââ¬â¢s stores opened in neighboring towns throughout western North Carolina. In 1960, Carl Buchan died of a heart attack at age 44. His five-man executive team, which included Robert Strickland and Leonard Herring, took the company public in 1961. By 1962 Loweââ¬â¢s operated 21 stores and reported annual revenues of $32 million. In 1979, Loweââ¬â¢s began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE:LOW). During this time, U. They are also very customer focused by having ââ¬Å"expertâ⬠employees who can give customers the knowledge needed to do projects themselves, shown by their ââ¬Å"letââ¬â¢s build something togetherâ⬠advertisements.
